And only the baddest get to rise to the top. And stay there. Female entertainers,unlike their male counterparts,have traditionally had to go the extra mile to rise to the top. World over,Women are STILL viewed as sexual beings in the society and,armed with that knowledge,female entertainers- and their handlers/managers- have always pushed the boundaries of sexualism. And have always banked on their sex appeal to better sell their music,art or performances. Iconic entertainers like Madonna,Nicki Minaj,Rihanna,Beyonce,Janet Jackson,Miley Cyrus,Lil Kim,Foxy Brown and many many other female entertainers have,for decades now,been inundating the World not just with their flawless music but also with full- on images of their sensuous body parts either through their music,stage performances ,videos or even interviews. These powerful female trailblazers have mastered the art of sexualizing their bodies; Capitalizing from not just their vocal talents but also their breathtaking sexy bodies. They've gone nude for magazine shoots,donned cone- shaped,sparks-shoooting bras (Madonna,Katy Perry),writhed their blithe bodies on arena stages(Beyonce) posed semi- nude for international magazines (Rihanna),augmented their breasts and bums(Nicki Minaj) created sex-oriented music(Janet Jackson) and rapped on their hotness and sexiness and bed appeal(Lil Kim and all female rapers). And,to clearly illustrate just how female entertainers have embraced SEXUALIZATION in their art and performances,to an extent of almost selling their bodies-and not art-to the public,I advice You to watch the hit movie Beyond The Lights starring sultry British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw and her on- screen boyfriend,Nate Parker. It is a powerful,powerful movie that exposes just how Women are sexualized and forced-by their managers and handlers and publicists-to embrace their sexiness and to sell an erotic image of themselves in order to pull in more millions of fans,garner more views on Youtube and pull more crowds to their mega concerts. And in Kenya,too,There are a number of Female artistes who've been selling their sexy image as well as their art...They've been around for a minute now...others are barely starting up. And these girls-in as much as they're talented-are quickly going down the Rihanna route...the route that screams,"Hey,check out mu sexy assets!" They're talented. And sexualized...From their music to their videos to their general imagery... 1. NOTI FLOW Noti Flow is a budding Kenyan Rapper who've been around for like,two years now. Noti Flow is a pretty decent rapper/singer whose been in quite a bunch of Kenyan TV interviews and been mentioned amply on various leading blogs including on Yours Truly. Noti Flow's music,even though is not quite as sexual or sex-oriented,still sees her churn out music videos and studio photos that are fully sexual in their image. Noti Flow has uploaded a billion photos of her semi-nude. And her music videos,too,are mainly made to appease a perverted male audience. She writhes in bed,licks her lips,grabs her on-screen actors by their chains,bends over and,dressed in barely nothing,is shown in bathtubs with her sexy legs in the air and soap dripping allover her naked body. And,let's face it,she's a pretty horrible singer. With more horrible make-up. But Hey,a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Qty,aided by the bad boys who lurk around Grandpa records like a pack of ISIS executioners,has,for Years now,been selling her VERY VERY sexualized image. Starting with her shoddy make-up that covers pretty much the whole of her upper face,Qty will stop at nothing. Her songs themselves are all about her desire for a man,for sex,for a good sexual time and so on and so forth. Her videos also feature a very sexualized image of Qty in different enticing poses,very minimal clothing,Qty in bed,sexually handling Men and ummm alot of the bedroom- related stuff. Her voices,to,is straight out of a Fifty Shades of Grey scene. Her songs,including Get Closer,Come Back To Me and Zunguka are clear proofs of that. 3. VICTORIA KIMANI She's Bamboo's younger sister...who,since she exploded on us a couple years ago,hasn't stopped bombarding us with her heavily sexualized image,too. Victoria Kimani,to be honest,is minimally talented. Very minimally talented.
